4 ounces treats 100 gallons. CopperSafe, when used as directed, maintains a total copper level of 1.5 ppm to 2.0 ppm in the water. It remains active for over one month in the aquarium.CopperSafe keeps levels of free copper down while still acting as therapeutioc agent due to unique chelating agent which binds with the copper making it non-toxic to fish but effective against parasites.
For fish-only tanks. Harmful to invertebrates and other inhabitants without exoskeletons. Before use, remove invertebrates without exoskeletons such as jellyfish, anemone, etc. from the tank. Coppersafe may be harmful to plants and some snails. Do not overdose.
After treatment, CopperSafe is removed from the tank by water changes, fresh activated carbon, Polyfilter or other chemical filtration resins/pads.
