When annoying barking begins, the bark collar's sensitivity setting senses the vibration of the dog's vocal cords and administers a brief 1/2 second harmless but unpleasant correction. If barking continues for another 3 seconds, another correction is given and repeated at 3 second time-out intervals until the barking stops.
The dog learns very quickly that the barking initiates the correction, stops barking, and the training is complete.

The Science of Training with Launchers
Enthusiastic, more experienced dogs do very will with launchers. Place multiple launchers in the same area to release in close, proximity to each other. Release them sequentially to sharpen your pointing dogs anticipation of additional flushes on one point. Like pulling a slot machine, he will become more intense, more interested, and keep his interest longer if as he begins to await the additional flushes.
When introducing strong launchers, it is recommended that all dogs be under complete control (such as a check cord) when using the launchers.
