Introduction
Not long ago we started this very ambitious project. It is our
goal to give you an introduction to the many issues that surround the
aquarium hobby: some procedures that might be helpful
as you start and maintain that hobby, and some insight
into some of the more complicated interactions that a healthy
aquarium entails.
There are some differences between freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
There are differences between saltwater fish-only and saltwater invertebrate
tanks.
We certainly would not deny that there is more than one way to skin a cat.
If you ask 10 aquarium enthusiasts how to accomplish any task, you
may very well get 10 different answers - all or most of which could
be correct. The idea here is not to give you the ONLY avenue to success
but, rather, to introduce you to concepts and ideas that might help
you deepen your own understanding of the relationships involved.
The guide is an ever-growing project. We'll add to it when we get a chance.
In the meantime, we hope that you will find it interesting,
enlightening, and useful.
