The gate uses a mounting strip that can be permanently affixed to a wall or temporarily affixed. This design allows the option to affix the mounting brackets to stairway posts etc., without the requirement of using screws and hardware that may damage your woodwork or interior.

The gate can easily be lifted out when you need to pass through. This can be done from either side of the gate, making it very flexible in fitting with the layout of your home.
